Creating a family cookbook is an homage to my mom's home cooking. Food has always been something that brought us together, it was the way that we show affection in our family. I have been slowly compiling recipes of dishes my mom made since I was a child, in hopes that they don't get lost.
Each individual recipe zines were illustrated, typeset, and bound similarly to create a cohesive collection. The string and button portfolio box that contains the collection of recipe zines were handmade on 110 lb orange cover stock. I intend for this piece to be never ending, with new recipes to be added in the future as multiple volumes.
